La Boul'Café — Restaurant in Accra

I loved this space! It’s a cute café in the middle of a padel complex behind Orca Deco.

Their juices and smoothies were lovely, and the pastries were delicious as well. I was a little sad about the waffle portion, because their waffles are too delectable to have only one for that price.

I had the fried chicken sandwich with fries which was pretty good, but my chicken was a little on the drier side. My friend had the club sandwich which she thoroughly enjoyed! The Nutella waffle is one of the best I’ve ever had, I would go back for it anyday.

What a truly odd experience. This “cafe” is actually just outdoor covered seating with a shipping container food preparation structure. It is very well hidden and extremely difficult to find- even after entering the security gate. The pastry offerings are limited to those present in the bakery case, with a complement of savory items prepared in the “kitchen”.

I was truly expecting more of a cafe experience and, after having initially traveled to the LaBoul Accra location by mistake, I am quite disappointed. I observed nothing resembling the luscious pastries and desserts advertised on their instagram account.

I’ve never been to a French bakery that had no cakes or tarts available-unless one counts the lone chocolate chip cookie as dessert.

This place is located in Spintex, right next to Orca. It has a large, private, gated parking area, which is a big plus. The café is part of a modern and well-maintained sports complex that includes padel courts and a small soccer field.

The space is clean, stylish, and inviting. There’s plenty of seating and good ventilation with fans, which makes it comfortable even on warm days.

The menu is diverse, with lots of options to choose from. We had a bacon and egg sandwich, French toast, fresh orange juice, coffee, and a Samurai Padel smoothie.

Everything arrived quickly, was fresh, and tasted excellent.
