My review before was about giving 5 stars just because I know it means a lot to restaurants. However, after more than 8 months coming here, I cannot even do that. At one point, I think the general manager changed (it used to be a fit guy probably from Middle East), and he was really kind and professional. However, the new guy (big in stature) seems to be friendly but has no idea what his role is. One day I came to visit just because of a football match (of course I buy drinks at least), and several games were playing at the same time. What is funny was that the GM seems to be a huge fan of a specific football club. I asked him to turn on the game I want to watch, but he impudently says already other people are watching the other game. I looked around and it was obvious that no other customers are interested in the games. They were not even glancing at TVs and won't care if someone scores a goal or something. Later I realized it was the GM himself, and other staff who were interested in the game. They cheered and made loud noise whenever something happened in the game. I was furious because I am a customer and I wasn't allowed to watch my game while the manager and staff are enjoying their game. This kind of incident actually happened more than twice. It just made me question about whether the manager knows what his job is. Is he just there to...
Read moreVida has been a wonderful respite from the monotony of my home office. The restaurant is very spacious indoors and has lovely shaded seating outside as well. The service staff are very attentive as well. Nicest perk? The free wifi! You get an hour and half of free access to high-speed wifi with a purchase. There are power outlets at each table.
The crowd is also of the student / yuppie demographic. The noise levels tend to hover around low in the mornings to manageable at peak hours.
My favorite thing to order here is their iced tea. They have about three flavors that I really like — they are so refreshing! I don’t care that much for their sandwiches and other food items. My husband thinks their coffee is great. The ambiance is more than enough for me, honestly. Love coming here to...
Read moreI have not been to my local Vida in years due to the slow service. I came today to have a meeting and nothing has changed.
I had to go up and get my own menu and ask if I can be seen to. I eventually was able to order a drink whilst I waited for my guest.
When my guest arrived I wanted to order something for them also but could not get anyone's attention for the 45 minutes of our meeting. So my guest left after our meeting without anything.
Getting someone's attention to ask for my bill also took an absurd amount of time. And then for them to bring the bill and then for them to return with change.
I would have ordered food but I decided not to.
It's better to order vida via Menufinder. You'll get your food faster than going to the...
