Makosa is truly a five star restaurant! Absolutely beautiful, aesthetically pleasing, great food, great service and they’ve got amazing staff as well. Makosa is kind of like an Afro-fusion kind of restaurant, the menu consists of different dishes from around West Africa with a modern twist while still maintaining the authenticity of each dish! The Chef’s attention to detail is top notch! We (my friend and me) had ordered the asun but the chef was not pleased with how it came out and sent out one of the service members to apologize and inform us of the situation so we could order something else instead. We had the orishirishi rice and true to its name, there was lots of different things in that dish, it was rich and absolutely delicious! We also had the Hifiridzi Beef dish and it was great as well, cocktails were amazing too, we had the Swinging Safari Cocktail, finally for dessert we had the Cinnamon Puff Puff now this was truly a delight! The ambience here is sooo great! You can go outside to enjoy the fresh air from the ocean facing the restaurant or you could sit inside and enjoy the warmth and allure of the interior which I must add is fantastic for pictures! If you’re looking to take tons of bomb pictures you should definitely check out the outdoor space, it’s superb! Overall this restaurant has my heart and I look forward to stopping...

📌Place is decorated beautifully 📌Central location 📌Beautiful drinks with a local touch 📌Wait staff super friendly and helpful but they kept trying to remove dishes before we finished and interrupting our conversations to ask if we were done with the plates when there was clearly still food on them. Annoying. 📌Food was good. The suya kebabs were tasty but dry and would have benefited from some sauce 📌Toilet was not up to standard. It was not clean and there was a lot of used tissue...

Amazing atmosphere, feeding off the sandbox aesthetic. How ever it took 1.5 hours for the appetizers to arrive.

When the main finally arrived, the short ribs were dry and stringy . Apparently the manager said “that’s how it “. Definitely gave off a pretentious vibe.

Would had liked to try again but probably won’t there’s too much competition these days so I won’t recommend it .

PS. Seriously need to upgrade...

We absolutely loved the atmosphere and the staff was extraordinary attentive, professional and friendly. We loved the art, the interior and that even the food and the drinks were curated in the same colours as the interior - such a special place!! The very only thing we have to complain is that there is just a very, very small variety of vegetarian/vegan dishes as we are vegetarians. We would always come back 🤍
