Since the review reply of the Yorgis Tavern tenant was so outrageous, I have to leave another review on our night of the 9. Sept.
The waitress was from the start highly unmotivated, unfriendly and bored.
Two dishes with vegetables just came with french fries. No word either at placing the order nor at serving the dishes about the missing supplement. We had to asked for the missing vegetables and became just a short and succinct answer that they had ran out of vegetables. Meanwhile other tables were served with vegetables (probably cooked) but we didn’t had a chance to asked for that either or instead.
After we finally received the check, I kindly asked If we could talk to the boss about the bill. We got a discount of ea. 1€ for the two dishes. The tenant did not find it necessary at any time to come to our table and either apologize or offering a coffee etc. Which had been completely alright with us, since running out of some things can happen.
Overall, the food is just higher priced standard (finally there’s a use for the one star). But the worst part is how costumers get treated and, by commenting reviews, the Tavern is falsely accusing the guests to be unfriendly. Particularly after all that mess, we all still were very friendly to the two...

Already while making the order we got the feeling, we are disturbing. We ordered to dishes with grilled vegetables and without an information while ordering we got the dishes just with French fries instead the vegetables. After asking for the reason they said, vegetables are finished but the table next to got some. They tried to charge the full price... after our complaining they offered just to give a discount of 1 €. Even though it was not very busy they did not asked if we want to have anything else, anything more to drink, a cofe or dessert. Not taking away the plates... Nothing. The starters where nice (4.5 Stars) the main dishes were (apart from the adulteration of food) okay (3 or 3.5 stars).... two of the main dishes they made with...
Read moreI have to agree with some recent comments re the staff being totally uninterested and unmotivated in offering a good customer experience. Unfortunately, looking at the replies from the owner - what other to expect from the crew, if not even the head of staff is able to handle productive criticism professionally and treat customers respectfully. Feedback is a gift, offering the restaurant the opportunity to listen and learn, to overcome weak points and improve. I appreciate it has been a long season and the team might be tired, but there are too many other restaurants offering excellent food and service still. Guess they are doing something right…..and will continue to see us as their guests. Taverna Yorgis will not. The change of management from the old team to new has been truly...
