Taverna Manos — Restaurant in Antiparos Municipality

First time in the island of Antiparos and we always try to find where locals use to eat. They suggested Manos. At first I was a little precausious because I ve red some reviews that weren't so great but as the dishes started to come....oh my God!!! Every single plate was great!!! Absolutely great and delicious. We had crab sauce,mussels,fried shrimps,fried calamari,shrimp pasta and my wife got some fresh fish. It's very very rare to go to a tavern and be over satisfied with every dish. Believe me it's worth it and even better. As for the service it was excellent as well. All the waiters were very friendly and especially the owner,Manos. One last thing that amazed me but it could possibly be because we had a reservation at 22:00 is that everything was served to our table extremely fast. In a matter of 5 minutes we where eating and I believe in a matter of 10 minutes all of our plates where served. Maybe it was the fastest serving I had in my whole life,which was great. Last but not least we really enjoyed the location because we could enjoy dinner and also see everybody passing up and down. The server was very nice but mixed up my order in multiple ways, however she made it all good in the end so no fault as accents and languages can be tricky. I had a late lunch so the ambiance was of course lacking - it's hot, everyone is indoors - this place is probably best experienced at night when you can take full advantage of the people watching. So let's just focus on the food. I had the fried calamari which was a very generous portion... but cooked a bit rubbery. Still a fine dish, but I've eaten so much calamari in my life that I know how it should be. But it did taste fresh. The other dish was stuffed tomatoes. I've made stuffed vegetables alot and I know that the rice can be just bland, so you really have to think about how to get flavour in there. Unfortunately this was just really bland, basic. But again, a very generous portion size and came with cooked potatoes (chips/fries) done in the local style. So, in summary, fine for lunch if you are hungry and looking for a generous portion. Taverna Monos ! The service was amazing the waiters also speak in English which is very helpful for foreigners. The food comes very fast which is amazing when you spent the day out all day and your hungry and the quality of the food is absolutely delicious and fully satisfying. We had first came here for lunch during the day and it was so great that we had to come back for dinner with the rest of the group. highly recommend that you indulge in the variety of appetizers including calamari fried, traditional Greek salad, chicken souvlaki, fried zucchini chips, fried zucchini balls with the delicious tzatziki, the beef patty “ Μπιφτέκι” was delicious and had cheese inside!! Our group ordered multiple appetizers during the evening meal and was very full afterwards so we did order some pork chops as well as the pasta carbonara Extremely pleased with the overall service and quality of this restaurant!!
