Anemos Bar — Restaurant in Argostoli Municipality

The Anemos Bar at Mounda Beach is a wonderful relaxing spot on one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. They have sun beds and umbrellas on the beach but we sat in the beach bar restaurant under the shade of mature trees. The decor has a luxe resort feel and very comfortable. We ordered Freddo Cappuccinos, Frappes, and premade sandwiches. All of which was high quality and tasty. I’m vegetarian so I ordered from their menu items from their restaurant located above. I ordered the mushroom gyro and it was one of the tastiest things I have eaten here. A decidedly NOT Greek in flavor profile and I loved it. It came wrapped in a tortilla so this California Girl felt at home. So tasty and delicious!! Super fresh tortilla, delicious avocado sauce, perfectly cooked mushrooms and finished with fresh and tasty Cherry tomatoes and rocket. It came with a side of crispy roasted potatoes. They also gave me a taste of homemade cake while I was paying our check. Afterward we relaxed on the beach between the turtle nests and swam in the warm Ionian Sea. This beach bar is excellent!!! With the bar placed just above the beach respecting nature and the Caretta caretta turtles native to Mounda beach, it offers an amazing place to relax and enjoy the beach! The people are amazing and friendly! They are also pet friendly - catering to the dogs with a big bowl of cold fresh water before we even had a chance to sit down! A great location. The staff are amazing. Chris and his wife are lovely hosts. The bar menu is refreshingly different - fab sandwiches.....but just not a boring sandwich..... We loved Kephalonia! The Villa we stayed in, and places like this beach bar, meant a really relaxing holiday, where we didn't feel the need to go too...
