We recently visited this restaurant and were initially very impressed. The food was genuinely excellent – it arrived quickly, was piping hot, and absolutely delicious. We had decided to skip starters so we could enjoy dessert and perhaps a few extra drinks instead. Unfortunately, the service completely let the experience down. After our main courses were cleared, we sat at our table for over an hour without anyone checking on us. We weren’t offered dessert menus, another drink, or even a simple check-in to see if everything was okay. Meanwhile, we watched other tables around us being served while we were seemingly forgotten. Eventually, I had to flag down a member of staff just to ask for the bill so we could leave. We ended up skipping dessert and additional drinks, not because we didn’t want them, but because we no longer felt welcome or looked after. Amazing food, service and location...this is our favourite taverna on the island. A perfect day is getting to Kaminia Beach early and having a lovely relaxing morning, and then strolling up the beach to Anemos in time for an amazing lunch, followed by enjoying the rest of the day back on the beach. We cannot recommend Anemos highly enough. Mara and her wonderful team have put together an amazing taverna, which is the best of the best. The food on the menu is delicious and you can tell it is lovingly and skillfully prepared with the highest quality ingredients. And their special dishes are fabulous too, for example the slow-cooked beef cheeks with tagliatelle shown in the picture - simply gorgeous. All of the hard work put in by the team really pays off and creates an unforgettable experience for the customer. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Anemos, and I must say, it was one of the best meals I’ve had since arriving here. The quality of the food was simply outstanding. Every dish was expertly prepared, bursting with fresh, authentic flavors.

What stood out was not only the food but also the exceptional service. Our meal was served incredibly fast, without sacrificing quality, making the experience smooth and enjoyable. As an added touch, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary drink infused with mastic, which added a unique, local flair to the meal.
