Gourgouris Grill House — Restaurant in Argostoli Municipality

I had high hopes with the food considering how they present their cuisine in front of the taverna. But after 15 years in many Greek islands I can say it was the worst mousaka and the worst saganaki shrimps I’ve ever had. I like mousaka a lot, but this was very weird: the bechamel is not a bechamel, no potatoes and zucchini which does not belong there. Saganaki “prawns “ is not with prawns, they do not understand the differences. It was with entire shrimps, which is not bad but I simply wanted to eat quickly without having to work for that. Anyway, it was an invented recipe nothing to do with the traditional one: a sauce made with paprika dust instead of tomatoes, no cheese in there, total fiasco. About the service, the lady asked us if we did not like it , we obviously said no but… she just left with an “ok”. No complementary desert or something to compensate...

Fantastic Greek food at a reasonable price. We both had starters and main courses and were absolutely stuffed. Both the cheese and olive starters are big enough to share, I had the Greek mixed platter and my wife had the sole and they were delicious. With 2 drinks each it was €44. Service was excellent. This restaurant was so good we visited another 4 times in the course of our holiday and each meal was as good as the first. We had moussaka, gyros, sardines, meatballs all...

Terrible experience, the worst ever gyros I have ever tasted (I am Greek). We bought 4 pitta gyros and we threw them in the rubbish (literally). Gyros was very stale and without any taste. Also, the personnel was very rude: they were ironic as they assured us that the gyros is very fresh and also they insisted to be paid in cash and without receipt of course, even though their POS was available and working. The environment is really bad too. Definitely not...
