I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. I was dining alone at this restaurant in Kefalonia and immediately felt unwelcome. The female manager kept giving me uncomfortable stares throughout my meal, as if my presence was a burden. It honestly felt like she resented me for occupying a table meant for more people â as though a solo diner isnât worth the space.
I ordered just one dish (which Iâm fully entitled to do), but the way she looked at me, it was as if I had committed some kind of offense. Maybe she expected a big bill or a group order, and when that didnât happen, her attitude turned sour. To make matters worse, my food took over 30 minutes to arrive â a ridiculous delay considering the restaurant wasn't even that busy at the time.
Thankfully, the waitresses were kind and professional â they were the only bright spot in an otherwise unpleasant evening. But overall, the passive-aggressive vibe from management ruined the experience. I came for a relaxing meal, not to be judged or made to feel like an inconvenience.

Read moreMy god, probably the worst food I've had in any food outlet in the world. Squid not prepared properly, old and rubbery. Mussels, prawns and squid in the linguine very old and probably frozen bargain basement bags, very old and so rubbery it was inedible. Linguine no flavour and chewy. But surely you cannot get a summer salad wrong, well yes they can. Lettuce leaves dry old, beetroot no flavour and non discript, but worst of all the halloumi is akin to eating a childs rubber toy. When questioned if we liked the food I said no the waitress then spoke to me very rudely and questioned back that she does not understand why we did not like the food. I explained the ingredients is very old, the sea food is very overcooked and rubbery to the point of being inedible.
Warning â ď¸ not Greek. Not a greek experience and very...
Read moreWe had a wonderful date night evening at Manor House. Itâs a beautiful location in the upper part of Skala with views and a cool breeze surrounding the outdoor seating. We ordered the vegetarian platter for two. It felt great to have a composed dish for a vegetarian and I wasnât relegated to ordering off the appetizer menu. They also have the Lixourian Beer which is delicious. The first time we came was many years ago with our local relatives. And it is still terrific. Add Manor House to your list of restaurants to try. Especially if youâre vegetarian. Their Mousaka was delicious and well seasoned. And they have an extensive list of meat dishes for carnivores. And you must try their rice pudding which is served...
