Marina-Anna Studios — Hotel in Argostoli Municipality

I travelled with my best friend of 30 years, despite meeting in the travel industry at the time we had never holidayed together! Booked Anna Marina 2 weeks before travel and wasn’t sure what to expect. I had been to Fiskardo in Kefalonia before and loved it but never visited the south of the island!|M A did not disappoint - Tonia and her family are the most welcoming hosts and cannot do enough for you, it’s just a lovely spot to stay with continuous new friends made at the pool bar!|Easy to get to Argostoli to see the turtles and shop - and the beach at Trapezaki is a 10 min walk, a bit up and down but we managed it, with beds, a beach bar and great taverna! AghiosThomas cove is a little further with crystal waters! |Plenty of excursions if you want them but just as nice to sit by the pool with a book.|3 great restaurants nearby and a great little cafe serving breakfast, coffee and pancakes but to be honest we loved the pool bar food just as much ( loved your Greek salad ladies ! )|We did a day trip to Ithaca which was great fun jumping from the boat into turquoise waters !|Their spa next door is highly recommended, I had the best hot stone massage I have ever had - I am a fan, would return just for that. My friend had her first ever spa treatment and loved it so much it made her emotional! :D|Anyway, anyone reading this I think you get the gist - I have rebooked to return next year!|(With the partner this time!) Wow, we came for a relaxing holiday as we’re both busy people like travelling and normally do all the trips but this time it was to relax and unwind, 3 of us travelled me my partner and our friend, when we arrived we were welcomed by Tonia and family who took us straight to our sea view apartment, the very first morning I was on my balcony enjoying g the view when I heard someone say ‘did you enjoy your meal last night Paul?’ Now I know there was only our friend and my partner who knew my name so was puzzled only to find it was Tonia, the simple things of remembering someone’s name is massive, but then again she remembers everyone’s first names and greets you every morning with a wonderful smile and chat, she was so helpful for us whether ordering a taxi arranging trips letting us know the bus times and sorting the spa out( this is a MUST, trust me well worth the money, we went to Agostoli on the advise of Tonia and what a stunning place, also we did the island tour bully bus seeing The Melissani Lakes, Fiskardo, wine tasting and finally a photo of Myrtos beach, photos don’t do that place justice, so please if you want a relaxing holiday with superb hosts try this place out you won’t be disappointed, and Tonia, Andrea was nearly crying on the way home, she really wanted to stay another week and so did we, this won’t be our last time and hopefully see you all in 2027 as you know we’re fully booked...

Where shall I start? The welcome from Tonya, the guidance and advice from Tonya the brilliant experience we had as a family because of this one person and her family that look after these studios and cater for all your needs (Car hire, places to eat, Spa, local supermarket, beach parasols etc). Her detailed knowledge of the island, where to go, what to experience and not miss were invaluable. Her enthusiasm for Greek cuisine and her omnipresence made our holiday. On a practical level our studio had AC, WIFI, fridge, kettle and a hairdryer (invaluable at preventing arguments) and there were sun loungers aplenty for guests.|The local area has a selection of very good restaurants each with their own twist on authentic greek dishes all within a very short walking distance from the studios. The views in the morning are overwhelming and the pictures you see do not do it justice. Trapezaki Beach is a few minutes walk away and has the excellent Restaurant Denis on the shoreline alongside it.|So would we return to the Marina Anna Studios? That would be...
