Great, 5*. The place is nearby our apartment and theres not many options around, so we decided to give a shot to the pinoy cuisine, which I wanted to try for some months.
The place is lovely, we ordered an adobo, a meat skewer and a thing called Sizzling Sisig (the name sounds funny) and loved borh things. An they have a dessert which is a combination of like 10 things in a Starbucks-glass format which is amazing, a mix of like pudding, exotic fruit slices, ice cream, something like caramel, tapioca, I don't know exactly but super exotic and delicious -a big strange the first sip but then it gets amazing. And it's huge.
Staff is lovely, it's totally familiar and the young girl -I assume daughter- is lovely and speaks Spanish. Price great as well, less than 10€ in total (starter, skewer, 2 mains, 2 drinks and 1 dessert).
And theres is a buffet menu also, the restaurant has it all! And I recommend the...
Read moreWas in Greece for vacation and after almost two weeks of eating mostly Greek food, I craved Filipino food. And so me & my husband went in search for filipino food in Athens. We found two restaurants and I picked Bulacan Halo-Halo over the other. I’m glad I did!
They have the best pork bbq I have ever tried and they even have authentic sisig. Compared to San Diego California’s sisig where it’s chopped up lechon kawali with chopped onions, Bulacan Halo-Halo is actually made up of pork face & belly as well as chicken liver. Their lumpiang shanghai is also great!
They have buffet dining during weekends.
It’s only a short walk from the Megaro Moussikis Metro Station.
Ate Mila, the owner, and her daughter were really nice and we had a good chat about their life in Athens as well as our shared history of Bulacan and finding out that we both belonging to the huge Pascual...
Read moreIt is a 4 stars both à la carte and buffet(all you can eat restaurant) but I decided to give 5 stars for the amazing service received. The buffet is good and bigger than other buffet places in the city and the quality is overall good especially knowing the price is 12 euros. I highly suggest you to try their signature pinoy dessert called Halo-Halo(3 euros) it's not for everyone but as I love trying new things I personally loved it! Delicious! The waiter (the daughter's owner) is so sweet and fast and can have a chat with you when she has time. She is super friendly, educated and her English is perfect. Me and my friend we were the only non Filipino people in the restaurant so everyone was looking at us but we actually loved the hospitality of the server and the overall atmosphere was very relaxed. It is also a clean place and they care about refilling the buffet. I will...
