The square is packed with migrants - most of them from Afghanistan - and is somewhat the heart of the migrant parallel universe in Athens. In the streets close by there is loads of Pakistani and Afghan stores, mobile dealers travel agents and other services. A must see if you want to see the impact of migration on Athens and the effect of the Greek economical crisis. The place may be considered „unsafe“ but with common sense and a little bit of street-awareness you should be fine. I never encountered any trouble. Very good and beautiful park. You can walk it in the morning or in the afternoon. Not crowded with people.. Good for a walk with your dog. Good for walking or running. Good to drink coffee and sit alone if you prefer to think about something important. Good to meet a friend to sit down and talk . All I can say is that it is a public park and I recommend everyone to go there. Important note, please everyone. I also ask visitors to any public place or any park to maintain the cleanliness of the city and the beautiful places to remain natural. We go there whenever we feel the pressures of work and the pressures of difficult life. I wish for everyone happiness and spending enjoyable times wherever they are.
