Piatsa Kalamaki — Restaurant in Athens

A big disappointment. Delivery was late and the food was cold when it finally arrived. They didn’t even read our comments with the adjustments we asked to be made to our order. While waiting for our delayed order we called the store and asked for details but neither of the three employees that they made us contact, passing the phone from one to another, knew what was going on and just blubbered nonsense so they could just give us an answer…a very bad bad experience, wouldn’t recommend them.

The delivery time that first appeared in the order was 45-50'. The fact that later we received an email with the delivery time due to work load, this is a different story for which we did not know anything, and no one had ever informed us that when there is a delay, an email comes with the new delivery time, at least call us and let us know!

When someone picks up the phone, they listen to the person they are talking to and realize that they do not know what to answer, they hand it over to someone in charge who knows what to say and does not give the customer trouble, such as: “the order is taking 25 minutes to arrive from kypseli to gyzi” while google maps says, it takes 8 minutes and blubbering other nonsense!

Since there are comments in other stores as well, I have requested changes to be made and there was no problem. If you don't have the time to see them, that's your issue and it's good to inform the customer in advance. As you understand, if the food could be eaten we would not be having this discussion now. If I had received a hot and delicious meal, yes I would have been annoyed about the delay time and the lack of information, but I would not have entered the process of writing a review, but I am doing it because the food arrived cold and...

Atmosphere there is good, nothing to complain about. The food was not that great like it though it will be, we got a burger that was recommend for us by others that eats there, apparently they there almost everyday, some special burger with beef, egg, becon? tomato, etc. It didn't taste well, meat had funny taste, spice was great in it but had very funny taste, like this whole burger was not too great, we get it with fries and dip. When we order, we try to swap dip, because everywhere we go, they give us funny taste mustard dip. In some places, they call it vinegar dip, but its taste so weird idk why... I guess they like it there like that, its was in many different restaurants and it was here as well, so we wanted to swap it for any other dip the waitress was not happy about it and said that dip they give taste amazing... so we just took it, and what? It's was horrible.. the same taste as everywhere mustard dip... like wtf they doing it? What's the problem to give a different dip... especially we are the ones that have to eat it.... we didn't want to change anything inside of the burger, just the side dip, so this is not a big problem, but I guess here it is... when the waitress asked how it was, I said that it was the same dip as everywhere and it was not tasty, then she got angry , didn't say anything else to us after that. We paid and left. Overall, in my opinion, they think they have the best burgers that you can possibly eat. Well, NO , it's definitely 4/10 in taste. Service is not very bad, but it's not good either, we didn't order water but got it and we tough it was free like in 90% of restaurants but no we was charged 1.5€ for it... if we know we will order something...

Pita gyro kotopoulo was overSALTED Overcooked and hyper salted meat. Tomatoe was cutted many hours ago. The only tasty thing was the sauce. No reciept provided, just a simple small order with time and date and the price. Location good. Toilets in good condition with paper.

Update 05.10.2021 + NEW PIC OF FRIES. Can you answer me why the store gives more weight to the quantity than to the quality and why they can not find something in between so that there is a balance between those two? I made order for chicken straw leg in pie. My honest opinion is -Sauce delicious. -Tomatoes this time was nice and fresh sliced. -the chicken straw leg KALAMAKI - was really nice and not over salted. Maybe only gyros chicken they salts a lot, so the chicken can remain for many days fresh or something. -french fries? - drank OIL like a sponge, w t f is this s**t? Please learn how to make a proper home made French fries, what the temperature of oil should be, and how long you should keep it inside. that's horrible. if u cannot handle with your recipe for home made French fries, u need to find another solution.
