PARKBENCH — Restaurant in Athens

Phenomenal restaurant!

When my family and I arrived in Athens, Park Bench was the very first restaurant we ate at...... It was also the last restaurant we dined before leaving Athens as well a month later not to mention the other 20+ times we ate there.

Park Bench is an amazing restaurant serving a fusion of Greek & Asian food as well as sushi. Park Bench is also a great place to share small plates as well.

It reminds me of the beautiful food, we would enjoy back in Seattle or elsewhere along the west coast of America.

The atmosphere reminds me of the cozy neighborhood eating spot where you frequent and get to know the amazing and friendly staff.

The salads, like the quinoa salad and beet root salads are fresh and absolutely delicious.

The sushi rolls are phenomenal, especially the California Rolls with the use of fresh fish and ingredients.

The fish dished are incredible with amazing side dishes such as the puree and roasted parsnips.

Hidden in a quiet, off the beaten track part of Athens touristic centre, ParkBench is a must-visit place for fine dining aficionados. The atmosphere is cosy and pleasant, the service very attentive and the food amazing. The concept is interesting: creative Mediterranean cuisine along with some touch of Asia (sushi) but with emphasis on Greek ingredients. Every dish we tried was very delicious and prepared with much care and attention in order to give us visual pleasure and culinary delight, which was fully achieved. All in all, a restaurant that deserves repetitive visits so that one, eventually, tastes all the dishes...

A gastropub indeed!!! We really loved the atmosphere as the whole set up combined with music was a perfect match. A very promising catalogue however we went for the rolls and some cocktails. Decent inside out sushi rolls with an interesting twist as well as the fat ones. The staff was super friendly ( a big plus ). Drinks were cool hopefully summer time there will be some more options. A great location not too far from down town but definitely a place to be when you need to avoid the touristic madness.
