Great views mainly of the city - however this spot on the map is misleading, this is 75% up the hill and more on the backside of the park. Still beautiful of course!

Continue to the closest observatory / "Nymph Hill Viewpoint" on Google Maps for a much closer view of the Acropolis. Note - that view is more angled and you will see less of the columns, but you can see the whole complex more clearly. That view was stunning even overcast.

If you really want the columns then this is view your best option but make sure you have great zoom!

Notes: No visible bathrooms, very few benches on the far outer edges. Very few trashcans. A lot of cigarette butts and minor graffiti. Human pathfinding trails, no formal paving once you get to the point. To get here, depending on which park entrance you enter, you will encounter: steep unpaved hills with crumbling uneven rock/stones/pebbles; dirt trail/road; very tall hiking trail stairs; no railings; the main central throughfare is aesthetically paved (bigger than cobblestones, sort of flat, note reviewer photos). At some of the sites along the way there may be a small ramp (not common).

Recommended for accessibility: hiking poles, grippy comfortable shoes, and a jacket if you come early in the morning (very windy at the top). No cute sandals tourist ladies or you...

Nestled amidst lush greenery, this hill offers a peaceful respite and stunning panoramic views of Athens.

The Hill of the Nymphs, located next to the Acropolis and Thissio, is a beautiful spot for a peaceful walk and relaxation. It’s also home to the historic National Observatory of Athens, built in the 19th century. The hill’s name comes from ancient times, when it was dedicated to the Nymphs – nature spirits in Greek mythology. From the top, the view is stunning – you can see the entire city of Athens, the Acropolis, and even all the way to the sea. It’s a perfect place to enjoy a quiet afternoon or a magical sunset.

The hill of the nymphs is the extension of the hill of the Pnyx hill. From the ancient years this was a sacred location dedicated to the Nymphs, ethereal substances. The nymphs, according to legends, dominate nature, the souls and sometimes the sane. At the top of the Hill of the Nymphs is the Athens Observatory, a beautiful neoclassical building. The hill of the nymphs is 103 meter high and offers picturesque view on the whole skyline of the city. Access is free.

I decided to hike the Philoppou hill after hiking the lycabettus hill a few days ago. Nymphs hill is amazing. You get to see the ancient agora, the Roman agora as well as the acropolis/parthenon. There weren't that many people around so I felt at peace. I decided to stick around and enjoy the views. I really like the name of the hill since I'm into my classics. I didn't see any Nymphs unfortunately but I did enjoy the hike and the views 😊
