From the moment you step through the doors of this spectacular Turkish halal restaurant in the heart of Athens, you're not merely dining; you're embarking on an epicurean adventure. A tapestry of exquisite tastes, this restaurant unfurls itself as a delightful discovery worth many times the six stars I'm sadly restricted to give.
Enveloping you within its warm embrace, the restaurant enchants with an evocative allure of the vibrant Turkish culture. It masters the art of intertwining authentic Turkish cuisine with a touch of Greek hospitality, creating a unique blend of flavors that resonate with every palate. From tantalizing kebabs to soulful baklava, each dish is a testimonial to the rich culinary heritage of Turkey, carefully prepared in full respect to the halal traditions.

Read moreImagine you’re hungry and craving some halal meat. After doing some research, you find this place and decide to take the 30-minute by bus, thinking it’ll be worth it. You arrive alone and sit at a table for four. The waitstaff are attentive, chefs an workers working like bees, and everything seems promising—until someone who appears to be the manager or owner approaches you and politely asks you to move to a smaller table due to upcoming reservations. You agree without any issue.
Even after finishing your meal—which was tasty, though not exactly like the pictures on the menu—the claimed crowd of reservations never shows up. What’s more disappointing is that another solo customer comes in and is seated at a four-person table just like the one you were asked to leave.
I’ll leave it to you to imagine how that feels.
As someone who runs a company in Athens, I will not return to this establishment, nor will I recommend it to my guests or anyone who asks. I’ve been in Athens for a while, and I can confidently say there are better alternatives out there.
To be clear, I saw the staff doing their absolute best, and I respect their hard work. Unfortunately, it seems their misfortune is working under such management. I can only imagine what kind of excuses or stories are told to the staff when this is how customers...
Read moreAfter 18 days in Greece and weary of Greek Salads, we walked 30 minutes through some gritty parts of Athens to get to this place. Wow! It was sooo worth it. The lahmacun which we topped with the accompanying sliced lettuce, cilantro, onions, peppers and tomatoes then rolled like a burrito…mouth-gasm. The halloumi salad was a welcomed break. First time having the fried halloumi cheese—it was good. And the beyti kebob was a nice combination of new flavors. We were really pleasantly surprised how good the food was. We always split plates when we eat. Not your typical American big eaters, but we were stuffed. Go ethnic or go home!! We got there at 4pm and there were quite a few locals already there eating. We are back in LA, and looking for local Turkish...
