Fish Tavern 'Tasos' — Restaurant in Delphi Municipality

I arrived a little late in town on a quiet off season night and went on the srarch for seafood. I asked a couple locals and this is a place they suggested.

The meal they made me rates right near the top for my entire time in Greece so far.

I started with a garlic salad, I was not sure what a garlic salad was but I love garlic so I figured it would be something I would like. It is a paste of garlic, not super strong (definately know your eating garlic though) and has a very good olive oil poured over it. I highly recommend this dish but delay eating the bread they bring to the table until this arrives, it is amazing with the bread.

As a main I asked what fish they had that was fresh and they informed me had a small cod the perfect size for 1 person. I went for that and it was absolutely excellent. It was shallow fried in olive oil with two large lemon wedges. The fish was dusted in a thin flour with the perfect amount of salt.

We came on a busy day, on a long weekend and we were prepared for a wait. But they managed to exceed our expectations .. The service was absolutely awful. We waited for 1:30 hour to be served the starters!!! When we came and notified the waiter that we were ready to place an order, he mentioned that we had to wait, as there were others seated before us, which is understandable, however this didn't seem to be the case for serving the food.. as other tables that were seated and ordered after us, ate way before we did. We had a wonderful dinner at Taverna O Tasos in Galaxidi! The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, flavorful, and authentically Greek. The grilled fish and seafood were cooked perfectly, and the meze plates were full of taste and variety. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a lovely traditional charm that makes you feel right at home. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right.
