Georgeos Family — Restaurant in Igoumenitsa Municipality

We visited in August.( High Season) Tables are too close to each other. You feel surrounded and you don’t have the privacy you need to enjoy your dinner. The waiter comes every 5 mins to ask for your order. They make you a little bit anxious. Everyone is in a rush. You feel like you have to eat in 30 mins and leave for the next one to come and sit. It has strange choices in the menu. You can go there for fresh fish and ouzo/tsipouro while next to you some people may be eating Gyros (Pork). It happened to us. It felt a little awkward The fried fish (koutsomoura) we ordered was tasty and well done. Greek Salad was mediocre. Other things we order where good. Overall the food is ok and the other fresh fishes must be good also. For me it doesn’t matter how good the fish may be, if I can’t enjoy it. Avoid if high season and...

The greeter they had outside won us around the 2nd time passing so we decided to try here for some afternoon lunch (He was super friendly and cheerful). They gave us some bread but there was no butter, not even olive oil as you had come to expect being in Greece, just dry bread to go with our drinks while we waited for the food!

The Gyros was served with pita bread cut into quarters and unable to pry open to fill. I was expecting stuffed or wrapped so I was a bit disappointed for my first time trying a traditional Gyros in Greece. The salad had no complaints.

For entertainment we had a variety of passing cats and soon picked a favourite in this poor critter with a swollen foot.

It took a few attempts to grab attention to pay the bill. They had around half the outside tables full...

One of the most terrible experiences ever !

The prices are extortionate, neither the food nor the service meets the price standards !

I ordered pork souvlaki, I was given 2 skewers of chicken, when I notified this to the waiter, I was told I will be given one skewer of the pork souvlaki, because of the half eaten chicken skewer! And they brought back one skewer of chicken souvlaki with one skewer of pork. I don't know why I had to eat something which I never ordered from the beginning!! And why I got half meal and pay for it ?

It's a complete disgrace and I can easily foresee where this eventually will end for them.

Please save yourself money, peace and don't ruin your evening by going here.

Finally, beware the receipts unless you ask for authentic you will not...
