My first trip to Ithaca and we wanted to try something different from the usual traditional Greek food and Sirines offered us that. Located in vathy it offers great setting, warm and freiendly, quick service by the staff and owner Nikos.
We enjoyed the chicken meatballs accompanied by tomatoe dip and zuchinni balls as starters and fresh Greek salad. Our mains included the lamb which was cooked slowly and came in a parchment paper with potatoes..the meat was soft and tender. The feta cheese made this dish creamy and it was delish!!! We also had rabbit which was on the menu. This too was cooked slowly, the sauce had a tinge of lemony flavour and it was light. We were proposed of...
Read moreSo many cats! I was surrounded by feline friends throughout the meal which made my food taste even more scummy!!! Yummy yummy cats! I named them kitty, katty and Katrina in gratitude for them guarding me whilst I scranned. I used to not like cats. Now cats are my favourite animal. God I love cats! Bless god for making cats. The cats were shy at first but really came out of their shell as the evening went by (aided by me feeding them tuna steak). Please my friends take care of the cats if you visit and purchase another tuna for Katrina (she can be quite greedy at times!) I still love her endlessly as she is a cat. Meow meow meow. I am now one with cat....
