Great waterside fish taverna in Vathy, Ithaca. Good value , set menu for two included several large grilled shrimp, two grilled tsipoura, (single serving size) and several fried calamari. Also included was a choice of salad - horiatiki, Horta, boiled zucchini etc and a half liter local wine- 50 euro for two people. Everything on the platter was fantastic, expertly cooked and, more than enough for two. The salad portion was very generous, too. We had horiatiki and the tomatoes were some of the best so far in Greece. Pro tip- no matter how hungry you are refrain from enjoying too much of the delicious bread before your meal! We also ordered pasta with mixed seafood, really really good . The sauce let the seafood shine. Also freshly made fried potatoes. The service was friendly and quick. #watermelontest. They also have a unique tomato salad, which you don’t find elsewhere, peeled tomatoes in prime season, garlic, and basil and oil. Perfect for a summer starter and also perfect for dipping some fresh...
