Trehantiri Taverna — Restaurant in Ithaca Municipality

I was there early October this year with my family. Before I was there about 20 years ago. Back then this was the magic spot which melted all good things I love about Greece into one place. Now, twenty years later, I can still say out of my heart: "It's a wonderful place where you can breathe the pure spirit of Ithaci.". Also the food tastes just wonderful and the service is outstanding.

The Restaurant itself is located in the small streets of Vathy within a beautiful little mall with a fantastic view onto a jewelry and other stores. There are tables inside and outside but you should take one outside if you are not in a hurry. The restaurant is reknown so be a but early if you don't want to wait. If possible they even try to place additional tables.

I recommend to take a look inside where you can still choose what to eat traditionaly, not by card but by fingerpointing at the most delicious thing that jumps into your eyes.

The Food itself is wonderful, a dream. I've already written it and I will write nothing more because there are no more words needed. Try it for yourself.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming taverna on Ithaca, and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment we entered, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service that made us feel right at home.

The menu offered a delightful selection of traditional Greek dishes, and each one surpassed our expectations. We couldn’t resist ordering multiple dishes to try as many flavors as possible. The moussaka, goat stew, beef stew, artichoke stew, mixed vegetables, and mixed meat pie were all outstanding. Every bite was a testament to the culinary expertise and commitment to authenticity that this taverna embraces.

What made our meal even more special was knowing that most of the ingredients came from the family’s farm. The locally sourced produce added a fresh and vibrant touch to every dish. It was evident that the owners take great pride in showcasing the best flavors that Ithaca has to offer.

By far the best tavern in Ithaca. You can see the authentic vibe and the food is not disappointing. The service is a bit slow, but they have a lot of tables so it’s understandable. Tzatziki and french fries 10/10 - delicious Goat stew was extraordinarily, the best i tasted in my life, not just in Ithaca. Highly recommend this dish. 100/10 Swordfish was really tasty just a bit small. The beef with prunes was really tender and very good. Good fried calamari, really tender and a big portion. The white wine it was a little disappointing, but it was ok. We will definitely come back. The hours from google are not real because the restaurant was closed at 16.
