Kohili — Restaurant in Ithaca Municipality

The location is fantastic and the views beautiful. The service excellent. The food we had was passable and not very tasty. We encountered something many other reviewers did not which was so and so food. We had a tasteless stuffed peppers and tomatoes and mediocre soutzoukakia with awful fried potatoes. We both commented that both of those dishes are available ready prepared at the super market chain Sklavenitis but those at the supermarket are far superior. I have to point out the French fries that came with the soutzoukakia. First, rice is typically the side dish but good fried potatoes are welcome in a greek restaurant. Generally, a good spot to hit due it's central location and view of the harbor. The food was good, portions could have been a bit bigger.They do have a couple local dishes though, which do add a couple advantage points as it were. Service was ok, neutral I would say, generally polite and friendly. We went with locals, which it is assumed it elicits better service. The establishment was not full or very busy, service could have been a bit more faster and more forthcoming. Being by the harbor cuts both ways, depending on the wind and currents. We have checked out most of the food places along the yacht harbor with Kohili taking effortlessly place one. The huge variety of not only traditional but also modern cuisine dishes exceeds all expectations, leaving you with the difficulty to decide what you want to try. The food does not disappoint, being simply yummy and very well cooked. For sure, you want to come back to indulge all the other the dishes you couldn't try. The service is great as well.
