the Meraki — Restaurant in Kassandra Municipality

This place is a hidden gem located in the middle of a touristy area. It is the least busiest restaurants among others, but it’s definitely one of the best meals we have had since being in Greece! First off, the house wine came with a traditional wine jug which is chilled, tasted super refreshing and paired great with all the food we ordered. We had delicious Greek and rocket salads, amazing fresh fried shrimps which were flavourful and juicy. We had grilled squid which was my personal favourite. We also had a whole grilled dorado, which is some of the best grilled fish. The steamed mussels tasted so fresh and the sauce was great with bread. The grilled eggplant and garlic dip were also amazingly flavourful. The service was really great. We were waited on by the daughter of the owners which were an older couple. The place exudes the friendliness and homeyness of a family-owned restaurant with deliciously prepared meals and casual vibes. During my visit to Kallithea, I discovered The Meraki, a charming family-run taverna that truly lives up to its name.

Superb Seafood The fresh seafood is outstanding. Juicy fried shrimps,squid, plump mussels, and grilled dorado were the stars of the meal.

Fish arrives fresh daily, and the owner artfully debones it tableside.

Crispy Zucchini Fries The fried courgettes are exceptional — crisp, golden, and far from greasy.

Daily Fresh Fish Every fish dish is made with care: from grilled whole fish to daily catches, it’s clear the bounty is fresh and thoughtfully prepared .

Family-Run Authenticity The owner personally serve guests, creating an intimate and friendly atmosphere .

The food is outstanding – generous portions, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. From fresh seafood specialties, juicy steaks, various variants of Greek cheese's and homemade pasta, to delightful desserts – everything is delicious and made with care. The house wine is excellent, and the choice of drinks complements the meals perfectly.
