My wife, son, mother-in-law and myself stayed in one of the 1st floor 2-bedroom apartments for 8 nights in August 2014. The location is perfect - it's just around the corner (literally) from the main shopping, restaurants and bars, yet a really quiet location. The self-catering facilities are adequate, rooms very modern and clean. There was air-conditioning in one bedroom only, so you had to blast the aircon in there for the rest of the apartment to benefit - not an ideal setup. This apartment had 2 balconies to eat our meals on; one at the front overlooking the street and the other at the rear overlooking a quiet courtyard. Beds were very firm, which I like.||||The free WiFi was accessible from our room (2); we managed to watch some streaming football matches, but the speed can be a bit hit and miss. The bedroom had a flat screen TV, but the signal has apparently been lost during the switchover to digital, so a decent signal was not available at the time of our visit.||||Robert and his family are extremely obliging and hospitable. I asked for an additional pillow, hangers and another chair shortly after arriving and he brought the items up to us straight away.||||The beach is about 7 minutes walk away - the most direct route is down approx 50 steps from the coastal road. If you're fit and able, it's great exercise walking back up, however if you're a little less able, you can take the small road down to the beach which also is used for the Ammon Zeus hotel. The beach really is perfect - golden sand, very shallow for perhaps 30m out.||||Thanks again Robert & family for such a pleasant and...
Read moreOur stay at this hotel was generally pleasant. The location is great, right in the center and very close to the beach, though it can be a bit noisy at times.
There's a big free parking lot nearby.
The room was nice, the kitchen was small and lacked an extractor fan, but it was well equipped. The daily cleaning service was excellent, just put up the card, and the staff did a thorough job, changing linens and towels with care.
There were a few hiccups, but nothing major. The bathroom had a few uneven and broken tiles on the floor, so we watched our step and wore slippers, especially in the shower. It also lacked ventilation, though the small window helped. The shower’s flat design and drain in the middle caused water and dirt to pool in the corners. The beds and pillows weren’t the most comfortable for us, but we got by. The Wi-Fi and the TV signal were sometimes unreliable.
Drying clothes on the sides of the balcony was tricky since wet clothes from upper floors sometimes dripped onto ours. Also, while eating on the balcony (the only spot with a table), some water drops (possibly from balcony cleaning or guests above) splashed onto our food. Thankfully, Robert from the staff noticed and addressed it quickly without us needing to say anything. The staff were kind and helpful, which we really appreciate.
All these issues were solvable and not a big deal for us, we found workarounds easily and still enjoyed our stay. While there’s potential for enhancements, the overall experience...
Read moreThe studios are very close to center and beach, in a quiet location. Rooms are extremely clean and everything is functional. Nice terrace to spend evenings.||As a young couple, we had great 6 nights there. It was quiet, modern decorated, clean and very cosy. The room had good air conditioning, kitchen with a fridge and TV. The balcony was perfect for breakfast and evening drinks, facing the main street. The location is very good, in the centre of Kalithea, about 10 mins walk to the beach, just next to the bus station and with nearby supermarket and different restaurants, bars and shops. We really appreciated the friendly helpfulness of our hosts, they were so kind to guide us about the places around. The staff was cleaning the...
