Typical Greek tavern We had a more than pleasant surprise at The Koutouki tavern. I had the best fritto misto of my life, perfectly made, not drowned in oil, fresh, delicious. They only had fried squid and fried shrimp in the menu, I said I would like a mixed one, one portion was 10 euros, the other 12, they brought me a portion of squid & shrimp for the price of 12 euros. I appreciated very much. My husband took spaghetti mixt with shrimps&mussels in tomato sauce - 14 euros. A fresh lemonade with honey-2,5 euros and a beer was 4 euros. The cost for everything was 34,5 euros. They brought us a cake and grapes from the house and they wanted to give us limoncello, ouzo or mastic, we said no, we were full. The service was fast, the waiters were kind, they brought the food quite quickly. The atmosphere is of a typical Greek tavern, simplicity, nothing fancy, but the taste of the food calls it back to the fullest. We are happy to recommend and will be back. Very rude and ungrateful staff. Especially the boss, who may be the owner. You don't feel welcome in their tavern. In a medium-sized tavern, there are about 6 people that you can see working there. When you want to ask them something, they don't respond, but in the end they answer you angrily and you get the feeling that why did you come here in the first place. They are very disorganized and ungrateful. The food is not good. It looks beautiful, but the taste of the dish is very bad. Moussaka is not like moussaka, french fries is ok, calamari small and quickly cooked, probably frozen and quickly thawed, octopus tasteless, without spices, probably also thawed and quickly fried, beef also tastes bad, a little sour and of course unseasoned, thawed. The food is not fresh, but probably bought in some market, thawed, which they toast. The bill is written on paper with a pencil, which is good for you to count yourself.
