Maridaki Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Aegina

There is a guy welcoming guests and take all orders and look after payment. He is very cheeky. First of all, ask you to get a 1L water even I am just one person. I refused but ordered 500ml Rose. He was still not happy. For the main I ordered fish of the day. This guy told me it was grouper. The fish came and it was NOT grouper. Cheating customers and one small fillet with vege costs 18 euros, up to you to judge the price. Every table served with a bread basket, but not me. I asked for bread when the main came, at the end, I was charged 1.6 euro for this. Compared to most other seafood restaurants in Athens, this is a scam for tourists and they charged things not listed on menu. Plus service was crapped . That guy was super rule when I requested for a full invoice of my credit card (he gave me 4cm of my invoice which is definitely a No!).

Please take my advice and skip this restaurant. Lots of better...

The food was very nice. The service was very nice. Until the bill arrived and we realized that the waiter had switched our wine order without telling us and charged us twice the amount per glass as what was listed on the menu. DOUBLE. The house wine I ordered was 3.90. He brought glasses of €8 wine and didn't inform us or ask if it was okay. It's not the price that is the issue, it is the fact that he did not tell us. When we called him out on it after the bill came, he said "you wouldn't like the house wine." Well. That is MY decision to make, not anyone else's. So he stole money from us and we paid it so as not to cause a fight. But we will never, ever, ever return to this place, and we will be sure to warn people of this dishonesty. It is Shameful for a country whose culture treasures the concept of filoxenia, of hospitality. To be swindled as such was...

The food was average. Only thing worth it was Gavros whichw as boneless and very good. We goy a big fish which was over cooked and dry. We got charged 1.6€ per person for bread!!!! Which was nowhere written and did not ask for. There were only two small baskets of bread which we did not touch as we ordered a lot of fish. We got charged 4€ for 1 small cucumber cut in slices for a child with an excuse that he buys the cucumber 2€!!! We got charged 4.5€ for a portion of rice we did not recieve as it was out of stock"thankfully we noticed that and did not pay it", these were written in "others" not even a description of what was charged so we asked. On top of it we asked if there is an AC internally, we got assured there will be AC and fans, but as soon as we ordered they took the fans away and apparently...
