Remvi — Restaurant in Municipality of Aegina

The restaurant is in a good location, looks clean and relatively new. The tables outside are nice, comfortable sitting available.

However, from the first moment we entered, we were completely ignored by working staff. I even asked for attention from a bar staff to be told to wait as she invited her male colleague in jeans and a shirt for a conversation. After conversing, the male walked away, i then asked for attention from a female to ask if I could sit anywhere for a party of 2, she sent me to speak to a male. He suggested a seat under the sun, despite a load of tables under the roof in the terrace was available (3 tables were busy). I asked if we could be seated under the shade as it is still too hot under the sun. He suggested a bar stool sitting table which was literally facing and connected to a party of 4 people. I asked if we could sit in the middle as I did not feel comfortable to be connected to a table of 4 strangers. He agreed. A younger male waiter arrived shortly after offering still water and asking if I preferred tap instead, i asked for sparkling. The water did not arrive for 10 minutes and when i looked for the waiter, 3 male staff were stood by the entrance enjoying a conversation. When i flagged the waiter and reminded him of the water, he visibly made a face as if i offended him then mockingly looked at the other staff male in jeans. We waited further 10 minutes for our order to be taken. Despite the restaurant being empty and remaining 2 tables had their food delivered. A different male waiter took our order, he was very polite and pleasant to us.

The food arrived very quickly, but the quality was very poor. Being a Greek Island i did not expect the fish to be frozen and then fried.. the fries tasted as if it was pre-cooked and later heated up. The cod was chewy, batter drenched in oil.

Pancake dish came drowning in nutella. The pancakes itself tasted shop bought and microwaved. It was tasteless and was crumbling into pieces when chewing.

Very disappointing experience with staff more interested in each other than actual customers. Our bill came to a sparkling water costing 7 eu? We didn’t even get the bill presented.

Avoid.

Make reservations somewhere else. Enjoy a real, fresh food because you can buy processed food and microwave...

A place for almost any occasion, with a big variety on anything, coffee and beverages, breakfast menu, brunch, lunch, dinner, desserts and drinks. Delicious coffee, tasty breakfast and lovely desserts. Especially breakfast menus are really popular and recommended, as they include a variety of things (depends on what breakfast you choose of course), a coffee or tea AND a fresh orange juice for a bit less than 15€. In general prices are fair, what you would expect from an all day bar, except for the ice cream. 4.40€/scoop is a bit too much especially when similar places around (bars and cafeterias, not ice cream shops) charge 1€ less. The view is lovely, the decorations beautiful and the staff polite. Late at night the place grows lively with music, as it turns to a late night bar up until 3am.

Although it's not the only such place, with about 5-7 similar places in downtown Aegina, it is in the top 3, if not the best, for most locals and not only. I've been a customer for over 5 years and it...

The food and coffee is quite good, but the service has big room for improvement.

We ordered 3 servings of pancakes, 1 burger, 1 avocado toast and 1 Club sandwich.

After about 10 minutes we got two servings of pancakes and the club sandwich. It was tasty, so three of us were happy.

20 minutes later the burger came. We asked about the last pancakes and the avocado toast. “Soon” they said.

10 minutes later (total 40 mins after we ordered) we ask about the pancakes again and now we are told they don’t have any more pancakes. WHY did they not say this immediately??? We changed the pancakes to another club sandwich. We also ordered a waffle with chocolate and banana

20 minutes later (total 60 mins) we got the avocado toast.

At the time of writing (total 1 hour 10 mins after sitting down)we got the last persons food. The avocado toast was really lame with no spices and dry bread.

The waffle was alright. This place really needs to hire some...
