Our Favorite Lunch Spot in Elounda!

We spent one week in Elounda, and this place quickly became our daily go-to spot for lunch – and for good reasons!

Hospitality & Service: The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Little touches like free water with your takeaway coffee or an extra plate for sharing just come naturally here. The atmosphere is warm, familiar, and truly special – we felt right at home every single time.

Food & Drinks: The menu offers a wide variety of delicious options – we tried almost everything over the course of our stay, and every single dish was fantastic. Generous portions, great ingredients, and everything prepared with love. Our top recommendations: • Pinsa – light, crispy, and full of flavor • Burgers – juicy and perfectly balanced • Greek Salad – fresh and authentic • Honey Yogurt – the perfect sweet ending

One big bonus: They serve really good coffee! Honestly, much better than what we had at our hotel – it became part of our daily routine.

Location & Atmosphere: The place is clean, beautifully designed, and has that relaxed beach vibe flair that makes you want to linger. Great music sets the mood just right.

Conclusion: This is a family-run restaurant with heart, flavor, and soul. Excellent value for money and the kind of place where you just feel at home.

If we ever return to Crete – we’ll definitely be coming...

I would have liked to give a better rating, but tonight, on October 5th, things were as good as they should be. Although the service was good, the drinks were ok the food wasn't very well seasoned. I had Dolmades stuffed vine leaves, which were well made but lacked flavour. I then had Veal Stifado. The sauce was alright but everything else on the plate was bland! The other issue was the main course was brought out way too soon after the appetiser. The only good item served, was the Tomato soup, which was excellent. ...

Perfect place to eat..good food ..huge portions all well cooked...friendly owners Maria and Spiros..so obliging who take good care of every single customer. I have frequented this taverna opposite the beach for many years now and have always left the premises feeling spoilt....satisfied and cannot wait for a repeat performance. Bravo to the guys for the standard has never changed..keep up the good work...Kali sezon for Summer 2018..shall be seeing...
