We are visiting Crete for 2 weeks, we have been to this restaurant every day for the last 6 days! The people who run it are absolutely lovely. They knew us as we walked past each day. They greeted us with such warmth every time they seen us. They were so humbled to have you back in their restaurant! The food! The food is absolutely stunning, truly truly a must have. Myself and my husband are here on our honeymoon and are trying our hardest to try as much as we can on this menu, the food is so fresh and well presented. It’s hard for me to say why this restaurant has so many rave reviews. We only finished one dish and only because the person was very hungry. The carbonara was made with large pieces of bacon, mushrooms, cream and terrible quality spaghetti. I think they boil them in the morning and then add it to pasta throughout the day. The Caesar salad had bacon, not tasty chicken, and was covered in a big amount of mayonnaise sauce. Shrimp with Ouzo sauce was just gritty. Sorry, but we just spent our money at this place. We love this place! It has been such a treat to return this year. The owners & staff are so friendly and helpful. Our favourites include the baked pasta, and linguine with mushroom sauce, followed by the legendary tiramisu. Also, fillet stroganoff is gorgeous, as are the pizzas, take away, or dine in. We also enjoyed a good deal of sides, mainly the Greek salad, which is delicious - one of the best we enjoyed during our holiday. We now regard the family as friends and will return asap!
