Sumosan Elounda — Restaurant in Municipality of Agios Nikolaos

I do not recommend this. Highly overrated en very much over priced. Booked from Holland, only time table of 21 available(and they were not full,with lots of waiters) When you arrive, you have to announce yourself at the port. Then you go to a reception, then(this was the nicest part of the evening)with a golf car you go the another area, there you have to announce yourself another time at the reception. There you have to walk another minute or so tot the restaurant. Sadly, because of the 21 o'clock, not much to see. A nice young man helped us settle, told us the want to give the guest a "special authentic experience" Well,that didn't happen. There was a man for the drinks. And a young lady, Nikki, for serving....she forgot what her job is!! When placing cutlery and food, she only is checking other guest, no real attention. When you say something, they get defensive. Also the (i think) floor manager, when I asked him why only 21 o'clock is available, he said, the rest is for the hotel guest, who have the privilege,but didn'tlike my question. I did not feel wanted or welcome...

This is one of the top five meals that we have had on the island of Crete. The setting was magical. We had a waterside table and were attended to by a very knowledgeable sommelier and wait staff. Although this restaurant has only been open for a couple of days, I was unfortunately disappointed with the menu options…The fish was definitely fresh but there were no speciality rolls, only makis that we’re not very elaborate. Our waiter was very kind, however, for a restaurant in a 5 star resort, it did not meet our expectations.
