Blue Lagoon — Restaurant in Municipality of Agios Nikolaos

Relaxing dining experience here. A family get together at the Blue Lagoon, a restaurant that’s part of the Elounda beach hotel complex. The atmosphere was generally relaxing, but short of people on this particular night. My starter was Endame beans, a bowlful with 2 lime slices. Delicious. No complaints, a warm-up for the gorgeous main, Japanese beef kebabs with grilled vegetables, and yes, they were gorgeous ! I finished off with a lychee sorbet with vanilla wafers & a caramel sauce. No complaints at all, the staff were possibly the most polite & accommodating people I’ve ever had the good fortune to meet...

This place is a joke! The food isn’t horrible, but the portion size is hilariously small. Drinks are 16+ euro each. The waitstaff have issues as well. Easily one of the most expensive restaurants in Crete, but the quality is that of any good taverna or sushi restaurant…and you can get the same food for 1/3 of the price or less. A very classy restaurant. A warm welcoming, with a lot of attention to details in order to please you. The service always with a smile and very patient with us.
