Dionysos restaurant elounda — Restaurant in Municipality of Agios Nikolaos

With my Cretan friend we explore the restaurants of Crete. This one is at a very high exceptional level but with one remark (or better said advice). All ingredients are of very high quality level and cooked to perfection, as well as presented in a unique way. We only advice the chief to be just a tiny little bit more courageous and give just a little bit more flavouring to the dishes. We discussed this and it is a choice of the restaurant to please every nationality. That is why unfortunately in the food rating, we would like to give a 5 for the excellent work but give a 4 for our taste despite we are a Belgian and a Greek so from different "taste" origins. Again we definitely advice a little bit more courage and this restaurant would then be in our top 3 of Crete. But honesty obliges us despite the very high level to make that little difference for instance with Makris and Moonspinners in Elounda. We had the corn soup, takaki, octopus, scallops, fish and lemoni dessert. Again all very good and at a seldom high level of Paris gastronomy.
