Chyma Sto Kyma — Restaurant in Municipality of Agios Vasileios

We camped for 3 days as it is a popular place for camping. Little did we know that the current owner is a complete jerk. One of us got poisoned by the food. The owner and her friends are users and as soon as the shop closed, from 2am until 7am they put trance music at the highest and party privately, shouting to anyone asking them to lower it down. Police comes and arrests people from their group because they steal and do illegal staff Apart from owner’s and friends’ aggressive behaviour, the food and drinks are way too expensive Shame as the place would have potentials with different management! I was here a couple of times because in my opinion the food here was the best of the all the surrounding tavernas in this area. The staff was always friendly during my visits, sometimes a bit too friendly and familiar, but I think that’s just their mindset and understanding of hospitality. And in the evenings it was picturesque to sit there and enjoy the play of colors of the sunset. I ate among other things veggie pitas, stuffed vine leaves and zucchine blossoms or a greek salad. While the view and beach are fantastic and the location is ideal, the experience was completely destroyed by the restaurant's management. The manager, a woman who seemed to run the place, was visibly upset and even began shouting at the staff—who, in contrast, did their best to serve us. Adding to the disappointment, she apparently assumed that, because my friends were from abroad, we were all tourists, and we were overcharged as a result. I later found out that this type of overcharging seems to be a known issue here. Such a shame!
