Liotrivi Restaurant Anafi — Restaurant in Municipality of Anafi

We had a wonderful dinner here in this friendly, family run restaurant on the beautiful island of Anafi.

We ordered a variety of dishes from what was available (which was not the whole menu yet this early in the season). There were also some dishes of the day which were not on the menu, so it is always a good idea to ask for those. From the dishes of the day we had the gigantes (stewed large white beans) and beetroots with skordalia. We also had the fava, fried potatoes, saganaki cheese and a mixed plate of the chickpea-, tomato- and zucchini fritters (very highly recommended!).

The food is typical traditional Greek fare, nothing fancy, but very flavourful and with plenty of olive oil. We enjoyed it a lot.

The service was friendly, but it won't hurt if you speak a little Greek to make communication easier.

The terrace of the restaurant has an amazing view over the island and the sea while offering protection from the wind, perfect!

It's a family run fish restaurant where you get to choose your own fresh fish from the fridge display, after which it is grilled and served. The outdoor seating balcony overlooks the mountains and sea, though only visible if eating in the daytime. The owner's daughter serves the food and communicates with the international visitors. This island of Anafi only has one town with a total local population of 300, so relies on tourism for it's main source of income. It's extremely attractive visually, so visiting artists, writers and photographers will have a feast...

The best fish restaurant in Anafi in our perspective. Also serving all Greek classical dishes. The father of the family goes out on the sea to catch the fish daily. Sometimes even twice as some fish is only available in the morning or evening. Ask Sofia for the catch of the day or step into the kitchen and look at the family cooking. Nothing is a problem.
