To Steki — Restaurant in Municipality of Anafi

No trip to Anafi is complete without at least one meal at το Στέκι. The atmosphere is classically Cycladic with a view of the archipelago of Anafi. The moon was full on my visit which, coupled with the incredibly fresh food and friendly service, made it an indelible and magical memory. Στέκι is a Greek term that can mean a hangout or a gathering place. It truly lives up to its name. Here, you will easily run into people from town and new friends you have made from the beach. Each will be eager to recommend a dish that they are enjoying or have tried. During my stay in Anafi, To Steki is the place I visited the most for dinner. There are always many people there after 8 p.m., but a vacant table is nevertheless easy to find. A handwritten bill presents the 'special dish of the day'. Both fish and meat are on the list, in addition to a good many side dishes, salads, rice, beans etc. For drinks you can have beer or wine from Anafi or Santorini. Good food at reasonable prices, super central location and very often offering lovely live music. But mostly they have the best customer service in the island. The waitresses speak English very well, are welcoming and tried to accommodate our needs all the times. They need to improve on wine, as the cheapest house wine was really not good, the medium quality house wine was finished and never replaced, then they have 35euro bottles which weren't worth the price.
