The Mule & The Pig — Restaurant in Municipality of Anafi

Wow. A sandwich…That I came back for 3 times. This restaurant/bar is no short of spectacular and to speak plainly just has the best vibe. The location is prime with incredible views of the movie set worthy blue beach and dry cliff landscape. There is a plethora of seating all around with great views and I must say the atmosphere here is impeccable. The food and drink is sensational, the salads fresh and light with hints of citrus, coming with an overwhelming sense they’ve been made by someone who loves the food they create. I tried the quinoa salad and it was remarkably summery and hit all the textural sweet spots for me, I highly recommend for a light lunch. But I have to talk about the sandwich. My party tried the 3 sandwiches they have to offer and were blown away by the incredible simple and delicious flavour of each (2 with meat, 1 vegetarian). A special mention to the humous sandwich which was the favourite (we decided with much deliberation and struggle). It comes with obviously a delicious humous, fresh tomato, leaves, flavourful and soft bread and pickles that leave your stomach wanting more. Although it sounds simple this sandwich was by far the best I’ve ever had and if I’m describing it right you can only imagine the others delectable flavours. I’m kicking myself I didn’t have time to try their pizzas. Service super slow and not very nice. This summer we waited (with a child) more than one hour for our food. They had not warned us at all about the waiting time and they did not bring all the dishes together. So one of us had already finished her food while the other two were still waiting. In the meanwhile, we had all the time to finish a drink each and order a round of the same drinks. These took over 30 minutes to arrive, even if we were just sitting next to the bar. When inquiring about the drinks 20 mins into the wait, the waitress said 'Yes yes they are ALREADY at the bar' and then on we went for another 10 mins plus wait. And no, they weren't ALREADY at the bar. Food in the end was good enough. But not worth the wait and...

Απαράδεκτοι. Το καλοκαίρι του 2024 παράγγειλα σάντουιτς γαλοπούλα χωρίς μαγιονέζα και χωρίς ρόκα καθώς ήμουν έγκυος και δεν έπρεπε να τα φαω. Το σάντουιτς το φέρνουν κομμένο σε δυο μέρη και ενώ το ένα το έφαγα κανονικά από το άλλο δάγκωσε μια μπουκιά ο σύντροφος μου. Όταν πήγα να φάω το δεύτερο μισό αντιλήφθηκα ότι έχει μαγιονέζα και το πήγα μέσα στην κυρια υπεύθυνη Βαλια που μου το είχε φέρει εξηγώντας της την κατάσταση και αφού αγενέστατα δεν καταλάβαινε μου απάντησε τι θες να κάνουμε τώρα; Και της απάντησα να μου φτιάξουν άλλο . Αφού μου έφερε καινούργιο κομμένο στα δυο μου το χρέωσε λέγοντας μου: αγάπη μου αφού το έφαγες 😢😂 . Είχα αναφέρει ότι έχω αλλεργία επειδή ήταν στην αρχή της εγκυμοσύνης μου και δεν το μοιραζόμουν και οχι μόνο δεν την ένοιαξε ότι ενδεχομένως θα μπορούσα να έχω πάθει κάτι πολυ σοβαρό , αλλά ούτε ζήτησε συγγνώμη . Μου χρέωσε το σάντουιτς και αφού μετά από μια ασκοπη και προσβλητική συζήτηση της έδωσα τα χρήματα για 2 σάντουιτς και της είπα να μου κόψει απόδειξη μου έδωσε μια απόδειξη για 5 ευρώ αντι για 15 ευρώ (7,5 ευρώ το σαντουιτσακι παρακαλώ ) Η πικλα κρεμμυδιού δεν ήταν πικλα απλώς κρεμμύδι κομμένο γιατί δεν είχαν άλλο , το οποίο στην κουζίνα έβαζαν στο σάντουιτς με γυμνά χέρια . Γενικώς η παρασκευη ήταν ότι να ναι , εξού ότι ήρθε ένα μισό με μαγιονέζα και ένα μισό χωρίς . Οχι μόνο σαν επιχείρηση (καθως η συγκεκριμένη είναι φίλη του αφεντικού η μετοχος δεν γνωρίζω ) αλλά σαν άνθρωπος θα έπρεπε να φερθεί διαφορετικά . Δεν έχω ανάγκη κανένα σάντουιτς , απλώς την έχουν δει μονοπώλιο εκεί πέρα . Με στεναχωρεί γιατί πηγαίνω Ανάφη εδώ και 7 χρόνια να βλέπω τέτοια αισχροκέρδεια και αλαζονεία . Επίσης έχω δώσει αρκετά χρήματα στο συγκεκριμένο μαγαζί και σεβασμό το οποίο σαν επιχείρηση δεν δείχνουν στα άτομα που συχνάζουν εκεί . Και μιλαω για το υφοσ Της επιχείρησης και για το συγκεκριμένο περιστατικό . Να συμπληρώσω ότι όλο το σκηνικό και η συζήτησε έγινε μπροστά στο αφεντικό και με την συναίνεση της επιχείρησης αλλιως δεν θα το έγραφα εδώ. ΠΤα υπόλοιπα παιδιά που δούλευαν εκεί ως σέρβις ήταν...
