Taverna Babis Georgioupolis — Restaurant in Municipality of Apokoronas

Loved this restaurant. They accept reservations for 6 people or more. We were 6 and a toddler and it was good that we booked because the place was totally full after 7. We ordered a LOT of dishes and the house white wine and everything was delicious, especially the vegetarian moussaka and the Babi's salad. Service was attentive despite the place being so full. At the end they brought raki and yoghurt with cherries, on the house. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Portions are very large. It wasn't difficult to find parking nearby for 2 cars. The Babis is a familly owned greek tavern / Restaurant in Georgioupolis.

Here, you get traditional greek and also international food for reasonable prices.

This place is always full. So someone better reserves a table in advance, some hours before visiting the tavern. We also did wait in front one time.

We have tried some of the starters and can recommend the tsatsiki and filled peppers with bacon and ham.

The greek main courses are a must try here. They are very traditional and well tasting.

We did get a greek yoghurt with fruit and a shot of Greek Raki after dinner.

Service here was nice. My boyfriend ordered beef stuff feta cheese and I ordered lamb chops for myself. Then we also ordered the starter of Dolmadakia to share. The lamb chops is really gooood, I must say that it is the best lamb I have had in Crete Island so far.
