One of the best and beautiful beach I've ever visited.

The road to the beach is very challenging at least the last mile (1,5 km). As a driver you have to pay attention to the traffic coming from opposite direction because the road is very narrow, only for a car and a half. So you have to be very attentive, to memorise wider portion of the road, eventually to go back if there is an opposite traffic and there is no place to pass.

The most important thing when you are driving is that the climbing traffic has priority so if you are in descending, as you see an opposite traffic you have to do everything possible to let that car to continue going up the hill because ones it stops it is almost impossible to continue its way - so steep is the road (I say more that 15%).

There are some parking places, you have to pay for and the price is depending, being between 10-15 EUR per day. There is a possibility to park without paying but is very risky to let the car on the road, even there are such places. All other parking lots are for hotel's residents.

There are a few restaurants you can serve traditional or international dishes and the prices are normal, not higher than in other restaurants in the island.

The beach is very wide, comparing to others in Corfu so there is plenty of space to put a blanket or the towels direct on the sand. Otherwise you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas, places in fixed spots, that costs you between 10-15 EUR per day. Also the beach is very clean.

The sand is very soft and there are no pebbles or shells, nothing to cut your sole in. After 12 pm the sand is becoming very hot so you need slippers. The same soft sand is also in the water.

The water is warm, unusually warm (my opinion), is cristal clear and there are no plants or other algae on it. It is very clean! The entrance in water is very shallow, so the water depth reach 4 ft (1,5 meters) at 150 ft (50 meters) in the sea. Buy the way you will be in Ionic See. There are some rocks somewhere in the water on the south side of the beach but you can see them and there is no any danger for swimmers.

Because all the place is surrounded by mountains, everything there is protected from strong winds, wich could be a disadvantage in the hot days because there is no breeze and the air is getting a little bit hot.

There is a sport zone where you can play volley-ball and mini football (mini soccer for those from over the Atlantic). Also there are some offers for nautical sports and entertainment for those who want that.

There are some shops where you can buy beach articles like goggles, swimming shirts, solar protect cream, after sun lotions, hats, t-shirts, etc, one of them is at Pelekas Monastery hotel.

There are showers, toilets and dressing room. And there is a lifeguard on duty all the time being also a nice company for young ladies :)))*

The beach is very quiet and because of the depth of the water and fine sand it is recommended for families with children. But also others families could find a nice and relaxing place to...

We've explored several beaches in Corfu, but this one stands out as the best for families with children. It's spacious and less crowded than many others. The road to this hidden gem is a bit of an adventure, with narrow, winding turns. While descending to the beach in our small rental car was easy, the uphill journey tested the car's engine. But it was all worth it!

We parked at a brand-new Beach Bar (free if you pay for sunbeds), which looked stunning. I can’t remember the name as it was opening the next day. However it was next to Spyros Bar I think. Anyway at this brand new beach bar the sunbeds were clean, soft, and luxurious, costing £20 for a set with an umbrella. It's worth the extra £5 compared to other places that charge £15 for simpler, less comfortable options.

Drinks are reasonably priced, and they have the best fredo cappuccino! The beach features crystal-clear water and fine sand, perfect for snorkeling near the rocks with kids. The shallow sea allows you to relax peacefully while the children play safely in the water. It’s not a windy beach which is great. I highly recommend this beach to anyone seeking a clean, beautiful spot...

Negative Review – Spyros Bar Restaurant We were 4 adults and 2 children, and we rented 4 sunbeds for €30 each, with the condition of making the same amount in consumption – no problem with that. We explained that we would leave for 1–2 hours so the kids could rest and then return, and the staff told us it was not an issue.

The surprise came when we returned: we were told that because we had left, we needed to pay again for the sunbeds, and the remaining consumption credit was lost. When I asked the employee if he thought this was fair, considering that we only came back because he had told us we could, his reply was that he also didn’t think it was fair, but that’s what the manager instructed. We could have just left 1–2 towels on the sunbeds and there would have been no problem.

We would have left immediately for another place, but since we were with small children who wanted to stay at the beach, we decided not to change. I find this behavior disrespectful and unprofessional, taking advantage of the fact that we had children with us and fewer options. I strongly recommend...

This beach is stunning. It has soft powdery sand with crystal clear water, little fish that swim around you, and plenty of beach to sit, or hire a beach lounger/ umbrella set from one of the many bars along the beach (around 9 Euro per chair). We felt like it was a paradise. It's surrounded by mountains so you feel isolated from the rest of the island. May was a great time to visit as it was very quiet, not many people around, but still hot enough to swim. An important thing to consider however is the very very steep descent to the beach from the road, either down stairs or the paths. Mega steep and a good workout going back up but worth it! From Pelekas town/ bus stop you can walk (super steep though) and it takes about 30 mins. From Corfu town you can get a taxi for about 30-40 Euro (25 mins).
