Bistro Boileau — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

I have visited Bistro Boileau many times over the last 3 years or so. I have to say the food is exquisite, Sue and her team serve traditional greek and Mediterranean cuisine but with stunning flair and flavours. George looks after the front of house superbly well, service is exemplary and is carried out with sensitivity and knowledge of your requirements. The ambience is cool and relaxed, prices for this standard of cuisine is nothing short of remarkable. In my opinion this is the best restaurant in Gouvia (Kontokali) but don't take my word for it, pay it a vist and be wowed by the treat...

In a town where most restaurants have high ratings but few live up to them this restaurant is a wonderful exception. The menu is small, always a good sign, as it’s much better to do a few things well than a lot of things badly. Our chateaubriand was perfectly cooked, it was served with lovely crisp fried potatoes and vegetables which still had texture, all accompanied by a well flavoured Diane sauce. Starters were tasty, service was friendly and efficient and the bottle of wine recommended was perfect with the steak. An excellent meal...

Delicious food and great service. We visited twice (fillet steak is not pictured as we devoured it before remembering to take a pic!) - it’s the best value place in Kontokali and the fact so many people that were in there were regulars, from yachts in the marina speaks volumes. Prawns in Garlic and Chicken Souvlaki were extremely flavoursome.

Booking recommended and visit as early as possible as they will refuse entry to preserve quality - kitchen does sometimes close early...
