MyZen restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Chania

Having walked past it for 5 days and the place being constantly empty Barr 3 or 4 tables we decided to try it anyway. We walked past two guys at the entrance who didn’t even acknowledge us then asked a younger guy for a table for four. He said he d check is there was room( at least a dozen empty tables) and asked the guys at the entrance then came back and said they were booked up. We laughed and walked out then went around the corner to the Forum which is a much nicer and cooler place. I had the amazing Osso Bucco and the service was great. When we walked back past My Zen it was dead. Don’t know what game they were playing but they were 150€...

Food fairly good, but atmosphere and service was terrible. We had to remind the waiter we were waiting for our beer as he was yak yak yaking to his mates. A chap seemed to be doing something behind the counter, but he was smoking! After our pizza (good), I asked for a coffee (at 2015) and was snapped at rudely, "No coffee; coffee closed". Very relaxed, as a pool bar should be! Recommended to me years ago by friends staying at the hotel. Visited last in 2019, but this time it is even better. The servers are very friendly and helpful.
