Beach itself is nice. Water calm but deep from shore. But the bad part is the toilet, which is a horror. It is beyond dirty and it flods. You cannot even wash your hands. The beach was full of people and I do not even want to imagine where everyone did pee or poo... Also the food corner is not the best: it has self service, meaning you need to wait in a long and very slow line to buy anything. Owner says I should write the review for the sunbeds only. Sunbeds are ok, price is good, but umbrellas are too low, so you need to bend down A LOT every time you want something from beneith them. Also the owner says I should talk to the municipality who owns the toilets. Are you kidding me??? You obviously do not know how to run your business. YOU ARE THE ONE who should work together with the municipality and the other owners on this beach to make it a welcoming place. I have no interest to talk to anyone to make your business better. I will just move to another beach nearby, which has far more better services. For me and almost anyone else, it is useless to have good sunbeds and umbrella if the other services and facilities on the beach are bad. We are talking about an organized beach. And that is all, my friend....

As we had a hire car anyway, we drove to this beach - it was only 15 mins from our hotel (the other side of Chania). Easy to find the location and park the car - though we were early season! I can imagine these bays get very full very quickly in the main summer period. The sea was easy to enter, the beach lovely golden sand and no wind (it was a very windy day). The beach was not too busy, there was still plenty of space between people and it seemed mostly Greek families were using this beach rather than tourists, which was really nice. There are a few very basic toilets, a couple of snack bars at the back of the beach too. Though at the end of the day, it was nice to go to the beach bar and enjoy a beer looking out to sea...
