Tritonas Greek Traditional Tavern — Restaurant in Municipality of Chersonissos

We really appreciate great value for money, and this restaurant delivers exactly that. It’s perfectly located right by the beach with a beautiful sea view. The food is very good for the price, and the staff is incredibly friendly.

We’re a couple with an 18-month-old daughter, and what truly made the experience special is the large outdoor play area for kids. It’s well-equipped with lots of games and, most importantly, it’s covered and shaded from the sun — which allowed us to enjoy our meal or a drink in peace while keeping our daughter in sight, happily playing just next to us.

The location is quite lovely and the staff is also friendly. The food though was very disappointing, at least the dishes we had: the feta in Greek salad was not tasty, the small fish was super dry and the squid tasted just like pre-frozen chunks of fat fried in lots of oil. These dishes were without any sauce like tsatsiki and not eatable since the fish was dry and the squid was like pure fat, so we had to pay extra ~4€ for a small bowl of tsatsiki. This was the only time we felt unwell after eating in a restaurant during the whole vacation, feeling dizzy and full until the next day. If you are looking for some good Cretan home made food you're in the right place!! We just got there for a quick coffee before beach and took a look a the menu before going... That's was the best moove our stay! We came in the same evening to try the food that was magic!! And the people there are so sweet and nice you guys need to go experience this is a beautiful Cretan experience!
