Our favorite food experience on the island. The food was delicious and the service and hospitality even better.

"Mama", as she told us the neighbors call her, will share an incredible, authentic meal with you. Be prepared to wait even after being seated, but just relax and enjoy the evening on island time.

Everything is good, but you must try:

Lamb kleftico (if you like lamb). It's a specialty of the house. Slow roasted lamb with potato, carrot. Mama will teach you how to serve it! Basically chop and mix it all up!

Meatballs. Amazing flavor and sauce was incredible.

Broad beans (gigantes). So creamy and flavorful.

Pork gyros with fries. This blew me away as I didn't know what to expect and it was very, very flavorful. And the fries were also excellent.

You really can't go wrong. Come here, stay and enjoy yourself, and ask Mama any questions you have about the island and her businesses. She's quite the host!

A lot of reviews of restaurants on Crete say this is the best restaurant, but I haven't been blown away by a meal until...

Where can I start?

Food? Amazing local HOME made, fresh fish, vegetables? Boom! Local and fresh. Tsaziki? Homemade and aaamazing 🤤Never tasted sooo good well made pork meat as it was here

Atmosphere? This is no yours local fancy international 5 star restaurant. This is a 6 star local homemade taverna, they have a beautiful mural on the wall, as well tables outside. (Sweet cats comes with the meal)

Service? Comes in package with atmosphere. The owner "Emilie" is a person who has/have gone waaaay beyond what a service is, like for real, it feelt like I came back to visit my grandmother. All the stories, jokes, recommendations, what is good for you and why not. Not even mentioning all the free small deserts, raki and tsaziki we got thanks to hospitality to Amélie. And above all a local friend that is just priceless and not other people who are nice to you to...

Absolutely Fantastic Dining Experience!

I had the pleasure of enjoying an incredible meal with 14 different dishes, each more delicious than the last. The variety, the flavors, and the presentation were simply outstanding. You can truly feel the passion and tradition in every bite.

A special mention goes to Chef Elena, whose talent and dedication shine through every dish. Her cooking is full of heart, flavor, and authenticity—she truly made the experience unforgettable.

To top it all off, we were treated on the house to a generous serving of homemade raki, limoncello, and fresh fruits. It was the perfect way to end a perfect meal. Warm, welcoming, and absolutely delicious—I can’t...
