Ocean Seaside — Restaurant in Municipality of Chersonissos

I wanted a steak and was told by the man who asks you to eat here outside it was very good steak. The menu showed a number of steaks at various prices. Went in sat down in a nice atmosphere great location. Got a drink waiter came to order asked for ribeye, was told they only had a 400g left. Was then told that price on menu is per 100g , perhaps I was a bit naive but it doesn’t say that anywhere, it was same for their fish. So the steak would cost me €56 , you then have to pay another €8 for frozen oven cooked wedges and then more for vegetables. In all about £70. Pricey for holiday restaurant. Had a bit of hump by now and should have left. Waiter suggested I had beef fillets so I said yes, wife ordered salmon on risotto which she said was very nice. Waited 40 minutes for food, no waiter approached us in this time I had to ask them for another drink. When my dish came up it was a pasta dish covered in nuts and an egg in the middle of it . Found the 4 pieces of beef at the bottom. Not what I was expecting. I questioned the top man in restaurant , English was a bit limited, not an issue as I don’t speak Greek, I was trying to say that I could have a nut/egg allergy but wasn’t asked when waiter suggested this dish . It was very tasty but I’m not keen on pasta. Didn’t want to be there any longer so asked for bill , nothing appeared so had to ask 10 minutes later. Everything went perfectly and it was absolutely beautiful. The setup by the beach near the seating area looked amazing, and the timing of the sunset made the whole moment feel so magical.

The planning process was fantastic from start to finish. Communication was clear, friendly, and super welcoming. The team gave me tons of great options and made me feel really looked after. It made the whole experience feel extra special even before the big moment.

My now fiancée’s reaction was incredible. She was totally surprised, overwhelmed with happiness, and full of emotion. Seeing her smile and feeling her joy was something I’ll never forget. It was everything we hoped for and more.

The staff were awesome, making us feel comfortable the whole time. The photographer nailed every moment, capturing memories we’ll cherish forever. Everything went smoothly and stress-free.

The live saxophone was such a cool touch. The music made the atmosphere even more personal and unforgettable. I’m so thankful for that.

I don’t think I can fault the food here… however, we came for a nice meal as a group on holiday and was scammed almost €400. We came to enjoy a nice cheap steak €14 but when it came to pay, they tried to tell us that each meal cost €45, as the menu states the price per 100g, rather than the price of the menu (we were given £400g steaks, which nobody advised us of) and this is not stated in the menu anywhere. We ordered off the regular menu as displayed on their website as this was sent to us 15 days in advanced (we did not have the option to change our choice and even with pre ordering the food, service was slow). We did not order off a special menu and nowhere on the regular menu did it state that steaks were price per gram. When we tried to question this, they tried to haggle the price and then pretended not to speak English until we paid a much higher price. Do not visit this restaurant despite other positive reviews, extremely disappointed and complete scam artists.
