I have been coming here for years but there has clearly been a change in ownership over the last 2 years, it has had a much needed facelift. The service was very attentive and my order taken swiftly - lamb chops! Two other tables filled up, they ordered starters and - I am assuming - a main course. I waited and waited, in the meantime the other tables were served their starters and finally, after 30 minutes waiting, I get my lamb chops. So I question the wait and the waiter explained that the other table had ordered starters. What, may I ask, does that have to do with anything? First order in, first order out! So my meal had to wait while they prepared their starters? Never heard of such a thing. And then, to top it off, my potatoes were luke warm / cold. The meat was delicious. What a shame! Will have to be on the look out for a different beach bar when I come...

Fantastic restaurant on the beach with amazing modernized Greek food, outstanding drinks, and friendly staff.

We first had lunch here and ordered dorado, salad, and salmon stuffed tortellini. It was absolutely amazing, so we decided to return the next day for dinner. Again the food is amazing the second time. We went to quite a few restaurants serving traditional Greek cuisine, but Athina is the first that tried to modernize it and successfully lit up our eyes when we tasted the food.

I could highly recommend the dorado, salmon stuffed tortellini, the Greek or Cretan salad, the local craft beers. Definitely check it out if you are tired of all the similarly tasting traditional food from the many many touristy spots. I can definitely recommend this place and would 10/10...
