Eleni Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Chersonissos

Awkward check in which was in a bar, the apartment was further down and away from the check in area. There's no reception and no one to reach over the phone. So when we needed something we had to travel to the bar and ask for it, very awkward and annoying. The bathroom was a disaster, very old and barely functioning, the shower place is so small and curtains covering the water not really covering it as they were too short. We told them about it a few times but they didn't do anything about it. Aircon is an extra 12 euro and we had to go and knock somewhere else to ask them to activate it. We decided against it as it's too much for just a few hours of usage. We spent 3 nights in there and had a such a horrible stay. The bed were tiny as well and very uncomfortable. Brilliant! Emilia and Nikos are great hosts, chefs and dancers! We will return! They also taught us how to 'properly' drink raki! We stumbled across their taverna (in front of Apts.) on a walk around Analipsi (we were already in another local hotel). We went to their Greek BBQ night (from 8pm-2am!) and had a great time with excellent food and drink, including dancing on a table (with help)! It really was like being part of their family. If the taverna is full, there is also Yorgos's (George's) 'Zorbas' Taverna just a five step walk across the street where he'll also show you his collection of old motorbikes and cars! Eleni apartments is a small family run establishment that has been in business for over 30 years however I only discovered it in 2005. The couple who run it are Amalia & Niko, they are fabulous hosts! Every time they top my previous visit! I love the self contained apartments, they are rustic but full of charm & very clean! Well located in the quaint seaside village of Analipsi but a couple of hundred steps to the beach. It's now become a second home, in fact I'm planning on visiting twice a year. I would give them 5 stars for the experience they provide to their guest!...
