Robinson Gyros — Restaurant in Municipality of Eastern Samos

Bland tasting gyros. Had both the pork and gyros wrap, threw away 90% of the food. Tasted nothing more than bread. The place doesn’t deserve more than one star. The “chefs” comments and behaviour is unacceptable. I don’t care if you have a bad internet connection in your restaurant. If I want to pay with card, and you offer the option for a customer to pay with card, then don’t comment on the fact. I don’t care if “I’m very busy, paying with card takes time”. You EXIST because of your customers. If a customer wants to spend THEIR money on your establishment then you should be more than HAPPY to accommodate that. Furthermore the hygiene of this place gets minus 5, not even a zero, both the “chef” and the woman working there were handling physical cash from customers and then continuing to cook food with the same hands. No washing of hands, no disinfectant, nothing. Would you yourself cook food with the same hands that you used when going outside and running errands? I would not recommend this...

This is a place where you buy γύρο. Not a Michelin Guide awarded restaurant. That some folks have the nerve to complain, is nothing but embarrassing. Did you see if there were 10 chefs, and waitresses/waiters waiting to serve you? Guess not!

You who complained are probably tourists on the island of Samos - so why are you in such a hurry?

The γύρο was good. Not the best one I’ve eaten (during my 40 times in Greece), but it was done with a lot of dedication and it took some time. I’ve had “giros” served faster in many places in Greece. However, the man (owner) shared stories and his politeness was worth the waiting.
