We found this place accidentally, liked the garden, waiters were friendly. We were 4 adults and 2 small kids and we were starving. It was about 8 p.m. we ordered some starters, it came in 15 minutes, ordered grilled calamari, it was the worst. We couldn’t eat it, just had to swallow the piece. After some 20 minutes we asked our waiter when we will have main dishes, he said it will come soon. After some time we asked again, they said they will check. So this happened… out of the blue, chief of the restaurant approaches us with very angry expressions on his face and started yelling at us… at customers… restaurant was full so everyone was staring at us. He started YELLING that there are too many orders and there is queue for orders, that it’s been just 30 minutes since we ordered. I do understand everything, may be we were impatient since we didn’t know that to wait for 30 min it’s not much in such places. We were flabbergasted. We asked him to calm down and tried to explain that there is no need for this aggression. But he won’t stop yelling. He Came all the way from the kitchen just to yell at tourist customers. I even think that he knew where we are from and took a courage to misbehave in this way. It’s disrespectful no matter what. He or the waiter could just warn us that due to busy night the orders will take a while to prepare. Anyway, we didn’t want to ruin our vacations first day. Right after he left they brought the food, we didn’t understand what’s the fuss if the food is ready and it came right after he left. Obviously our night was ruined, the food was so so. I see under other comments the account of the restaurant replies pretty aggressively,...
Read moreΒαγγέλης, εξαιρετικός σεφ και επίσης φίλος μου This was from far the best culinary experience of my life and the best day from my leave period and over the last couple of years. I was on a cruise and during our stay at Samos, I booked this culinary experience being for 50 years already in love with the Greek culture, music, laguage, kitchen, history, landscapes, ... This was my best choice. We were driven, with 4 other participants, to the nice village of Pythagorion. Only the name of this place opens already thousands of history pages. Our beautiful guide, Ms I. has explained during the entire journey, about the history of both the country and the island. After a little walk throughout the village, the time to meet this extraordinary place had arrived and we were introduced to Vangelis. A man of charisma and in love with his work. Not only he prepares food but he promotes the tastes and the colours, the smells and the cooking techniques. He is proud of his garden and of his land and what it produces. He thaught us how to prepare a selection of traditional greek dishes: tztatziki, choriatiki and moussaka. Everything was delicious and the tastes are still in my mounth. Never ever I'll forget this day and, when time came to leave, I was really sad. In the meantime, we had also started chatting with Kyrie K. and this was also fabulous. As soon as possible, I'll come back to this place. This is how a unique place with unique friends. I hope you'll not forget me either. Γιάννης...

We visited Afrodite Garden Restaurant in Samos for a nice dinner with two families, having made a reservation in advance based on the many positive reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected.
The service was slow and disorganized. Despite specifically asking for our dishes to be served gradually, everything was brought to the table at once, leaving no space and creating a rushed feeling — as if we were being asked to eat quickly and leave.
The food itself was quite standard and definitely not as good as described in the reviews. The calamari, in particular, was a major disappointment in both texture and taste.
What truly ruined the evening was the behavior of one of the staff members, Costas. He acted rudely and disrespectfully — at one point, he took a chair that one of our children was sitting on without asking or even acknowledging us. When we called out to him, he dismissed us with a careless hand gesture and walked away. We informed other staff about his behavior, but they were indifferent and no one even offered an apology.
The only nice thing about the place was the garden atmosphere under the trees. Sadly, this wasn’t enough to make up for the poor service and overall disappointing experience. This restaurant is highly overrated and does not live up...
