Golden Phoenix Glyfada — Restaurant in Municipality of Glyfada

YOU MUST COME ENJOY DINNER HERE! OK, we know everyone is a little concerned during the health crisis but don't take it out on the Golden Phoenix. Warm staff (the owner even cane over to out table and personally welcomed us), bright atmosphere and clean surroundings. Did I mention the food? Since business has been slow they offered us the buffet but cooked on the spot and brought to our table. Which is awesome, the food was flavorful, hot and fresh. My wife and I thought it would be manageable small plates, kind of like tapas. We were wrong, as you can see from the pictures, we got a full sized meal. By about the fifth or sixth course we were begging them to stop bringing out food but the delicious plates wouldn't stop. EVERYTHING was great. They started with shrimp chips, sushi, then spare ribs, wontons and spring rolls. We got made to order fried rice and lo mein. Then as we considered unbuttoning the top button on our panta they brought out mixed vegetables, oyster beef, sweet and sour chicken, cashew chicken and so much more. Very polite stuff but this is all the best I can say about this restaurant. I went on a Saturday afternoon, the buffet didn't have too many options, the food quality is poor, the worst Chinese I have ever tasted, there were no seafood options, very poor vegetable options, and the desert, very poor, some supermarket cake... The quality is a no, no, no. I went there about 3 years ago and had the same impressions and said to give it another try.. But unfortunately nothing changed... Great location, it could be better, the owner could appreciate its costumers and feed them better... I apologise for such feedback, I usually don't write negative ones but I can't say something else about...

Their new location is absolutely beautiful. Lovely indoor atmosphere and their outdoor location is as lovely! 🌳⛩ The buffet and a la carte food is of great value and very worth it! (make sure to have a look on their a la carte menu on, as they offer extra options for more food that the buffet may not offer) Good variety of food and drinks too. Very welcoming and kind staff, they accompany you to your table, and they care about their customers as they come by the table and ask how everything is.
