“Vincenzo! What I place, truly Italian cuisine in the middle of Athens Glyfada. Amazing quality and price point which is not easy to find in Greece, the country of very overcooked pasta.) All was well, used to go there a lot and many of these times I was taking my dog with me. Loved it… until last night. As always went there ( with my French bulldog) quite early and in the nearly empty restaurant around 7pm was greeted by a waiter I never seen before who told us that dogs are allowed , allowed only when the owner is here and since the owner is not in no dog. I asked him to call the owner but he refused, we also reminded him the online it says that Vincenzo is pet friendly but he couldn’t care less and at the very end of our no so pleasant conversation the waiter told us to write a review if we are so dissatisfied. So here you have it. Pet friendly but no dogs allowed and one not competent as a waiter. From now on only take...
Read moreI have been going to this restaurant for years, and as an Italian living in Greece I have to admit it might be the best Italian restaurant in Athens- if not, definitely in the area! Exquisite dishes, with simple but rich flavours, cooked to perfection- what makes an Italian dish authentic! The Buffala mozzarella is top quality- hard to find something like it here. And the pasta is cooked perfectly al denté. The atmosphere in the restaurant is quite nice and homely- reminding you of an Italian trattoria with a modern twist. I would highly recommend the spaghetti alle vongole , a staple dish of the place. They have also added original cocktails to the menu; a personal favorite is the limoncello spritz, so refreshing! The staff is also really friendly and the service is on time. Overall, a place worth trying if you’re in the area and looking for you’re hungry (the portions are big!) and if you’re looking for nice...
Read moreI have eaten twice there already. The pizza is not good, the pasta is fine. I had ordered pasta with vegetables and cream. We had ordered booth a margheritta and another pizza with prosciutto on it.
The shocking bit is that as a starter they will offer to you some sort of a bread. It is stuffed with cheese and bacon and none told us about it. When you offer special bread to people you should let them know it is a special bread.
I had asked specifically for the vegetarian menu, so they knew I was vegetarian, and still they never bothered to let me know that the bread had bacon in it. Bad service also. On the bright side, they do offer some really nice live jazz music...
